From the start, I knew the concept was killer: what if we made a talk show where the set was so small you could only fit your head in—and it had to sit on a doll’s body. With my friend and project partner, Daryn Carp, we set out to make it a reality on the side.
In 2018, we very humbly shot the first season in my living room. It immediately grabbed attention—so much so that streamer Quibi called us in, heard the pitch, and bought it on the spot.
From there, we teamed up with production company Art & Industry and built a version bigger and more beautiful than we had ever imagined. We even partnered with award winning actress and producer Marsai Martin to host our made for streaming version.
Unfortunately, Quibi folded during principal photography, locking the show in legal limbo before it could reach post-production. But for one bright, ridiculous, beautiful second—it lived.
